Today's log tells about the headrest.
Don's headrest was good (even if not perfectly simmetric), but I would add my personal touch on it too.

First, I have reiforced it by shaping the front panel to be riveted on it.
Then, I have put nutplates (again!?!) on the bottom panel (the one to be riveted on the turtle deck) because this will allow removing the headrest for fabric covering (I have been instructed to run the fabric covering underneath the headrest).

Futhermore, I have recessed the bottom-front edge of the headrest to accept the cockpit coaming panel.
This will avoid having the hazardous sharp edge of the coaming right behind the neck in case of impact; this will also allow me to make a full size leather cushion for both bulkhead and headrest.
