New sheets of alluminum have arrived so we're back metal shaping the engine cowl.
With growing experince, we're learning how to manage shrinking and shaping properly and progresses run quicker and better.
We're trying using a different alloy for the side panels, which is 5754 H32. This alloy is very similar to the 5052 H32 alloy, with very similar strenght and same quick work-harnening.
So we must avoid any over-stretching to avoid harnening too quickly.

5754 is a little bit softer than 6082 and this helps a lot; furthermore, splitting any panel into two halves have helped a lot and after one night of work the left panel is clecoed in position and ready for trimming and welding.

Metal shaping is very time consuming but it is of great satisfaction once you start obtaining good results.

Looks good!

Fine "tuning" will be performed later after welding the halves.
